The Wisconsin Elite Way!

The Wisconsin Elite Girls Basketball Way!

The purpose of the WISCONSIN ELITE GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB  is to benefit those who wish to achieve excellence in the sport of basketball, and to be the premiere organization for the development of girls basketball in Wisconsin. Our primary focus is to give players, who are willing to commit and work hard towards achieving their basketball goals, an opportunity to have a positive experience in participating in a club program and to provide a place where players can come to learn, compete, and achieve at the ELITE level.

What you should expect from the WISCONSIN ELITE GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB program:

  • WISCONSIN ELITE will involve your child in energetic activity based on maximum effort, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and team chemistry.
  • WISCONSIN ELITE will encourage the development of your child with the strength to work, prepare and improve; to have pride, passion and purpose in the way they approach basketball; and to persevere when the going gets tough.
  • WISCONSIN ELITE will instill pride in doing your best, in addition to winning games. Respect the game of basketball whether the team is winning or losing by always giving maximum effort.
  • WISCONSIN ELITE will sharpen individual understanding of the importance and necessity of teamwork, fair play, cooperation, dependability and unity---the core of success in all team efforts.
  • WISCONSIN ELITE will build self-confidence and poise in your child through personalized attention, encouragement, and interaction with teammates.
  • WISCONSIN ELITE will provide thorough, personalized training in the skills of the game according to individual age and exposure.
  • WISCONSIN ELITE will promote an equal opportunity for your child to grow in the sport through concentrated drills and actual play.

What WISCONSIN ELITE GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB will expect from your child:

  • The WISCONSIN ELITE program has set as its priorities—family and school first and then the program. If family or mandatory school activities unavoidably fall on practice nights or conflict with tournament play, the player must make the choice as to where her priorities lie. The player is expected to take the responsibility of notifying her team coach ahead of time so that alternate arrangements for the team can be made if necessary.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Come to practice ready to learn.
  • Come to games ready to play.

What WISCONSIN ELITE GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB will expect from the parents:

  • WISCONSIN ELITE encourages parents to be involved and attend games and practices.
  • WISCONSIN ELITE expects parents to volunteer to assist in various activities such as scorekeeper, timer, assist with team activities, and more.
  • When attending practice, don’t distract your child with “good intention” advice. Please allow the coaches to do their job by molding and teaching her.
  • At games, please cheer for our team and yell encouragements, but ARGUING WITH OFFICIALS OR OPPONENTS IS NOT ALLOWED.
  • Be supportive and encourage your daughter—build up her confidence so she will be able to bounce back and do her best. There is nothing more embarrassing or demoralizing for a player than to have someone, especially her parents or family chastise her for her mistakes in a game.
  • Don’t second-guess the coaches. They have their game plan and strategies set. You may not understand why they make certain decisions, but they know what they are doing. Give them your confidence and trust in their decisions.
  • Read, understand sign and return a copy of a waiver allowing participation in the WISCONSIN ELITE program, acknowledging the potential for injury which is inherent in all sports, regardless of full observance of all safety rules and the best coaching. The waiver releases WISCONSIN ELITE as well as groups and entities responsible for organizing and providing facilities for practices, tournaments and activities connected with club participation from any liability during the entire season.
  • Prompt payment of program fees, clinic fees or any other fees that may arise throughout the year.
